As a member school, your interests are conveyed to key professional and political stakeholders. GLSC advocates for its members at the German Bundestag, the Auswärtige Amt, the German Embassy, and German, Austrian and Swiss Consulates, as well as within professional organizations such as AATG, WDA and the Stiftung Verbundenheit mit den Deutschen im Ausland.
Member schools are featured in the directory on our website. Share your achievements and advertise your programs. Your school and its activities can be highlighted in our E-Notes. Additionally, you may nominate outstanding teachers or administrators for the Annual GLSC Merit Award to recognize their excellent work.
Your membership connects you with all GLSC member schools that share similar goals and missions, as well as with hundreds of colleagues who are passionate about teaching the German language and culture across all ages and levels. Through our website, E-Notes, and the Annual GLSC Conference, you are part of a vibrant professional community.
GLSC members benefit from a wide range of resources: important news on our website; updates on LinkedIn, Facebook and in E-Notes; professional development workshops at the Annual GLSC Conference and webinars; as well as case-based consulting on administrative and pedagogical matters.
GLSC membership provides many opportunities for teachers and administrators to engage in professional exchange. They can easily connect with colleagues, access valuable information, and participate in workshops that highlight best practices, administrative guidance, and new educational policies.
Through your GLSC membership, students gain access to enriching programs that support their language learning and cultural engagement. They can participate in the Annual GLSC Reading Contest and connect with peers from around the world through Sprachklub International, strengthening both their German language skills and their global outlook.
